SPECIAL EDITION – MMHA 2005 TRAINING PROGRAM



As a valued subscriber to Multicultural Mental Health Australia (MMHA) we
would like to inform you of MMHA’s 2005 training program.

In conjunction with Diversity in Health 2005 MMHA is proud to present
three outstanding practitioners in two half-day workshops.

Workshops  will be held on Thursday 20 October 2005 at Rydges Melbourne,
186 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, Victoria.

The first workshop, Valuing Diversity and Strengthening our Practice:
Multicultural Mental Health for Refugees and Vulnerable Communities - a
workshop for clinicians will be presented by Associate Professor Nicholas
Procter, from the University of South Australia.

The second workshop, Thinking through language and the interpretation of
meaning - a workshop for interpreters and mental health practitioners will
be presented by Professor Leslie Swartz from the University ofStellenbosch, South Africa and Greg Turner from the Queensland
Transcultural Mental Health Centre.



Places are still available, however, numbers are limited.
